Traineeships
Traineeship Overview
Similar to apprenticeships, in a traineeship you also gain hands-on skills and work experience, and improve your employment prospects, while earning a wage. On successful completion you will gain a nationally recognised qualification which can lead to rewarding career options.
Apprenticeships and traineeships combine practical experience at work with structured training. Apprenticeships are generally in traditional technical trades like bricklaying or cabinet making. Traineeships are usually in non-trade areas such as hospitality, business, manufacturing and health.
Additionally a traineeship may be either a full-time or part-time employment based training arrangement. Usually it's for a duration of 12 months or more, and can be in a non-trade related area.
